right now i am dubrovnik croatia and it is really really amazing. when i thought eastern europe i usually thought something somewhat similar to bratislava in eurotrip. it is actually in the 60s and sunny (which i guess is unusual) and there are palm trees, really pretty beaches and water, or voda in croatian.
to go back a few days... i landed in bologna and was going to go right to the ferry to come here but my brother and his girlfriend's dog died. it was really sad because she was a great dog and really important to them. because of that we stayed in bologna longer which was really nice actually. i got some quality awkward moments with kelly's roommates who don't speak english. the common words between us were okay, wow and uh-oh. we did watch three hours of grande fratello(big brother) which was entertaining. matt and i went to ravenna one day and i got to see these mosaics that i have wanted to see for a long time. i almost got teary eyed which was embarrassing.
then we took the ferry from ancona (italy) to split (croatia). it was cool. the guy at the restaurant seemed to be pissed off and confused why i didnt eat meat, no not even squid. he said "no meat? not even squid? how old are you?" our room was way down in the depths of the boat and i couldnt help but think of leo, the italian guy and those two confused and angry germans from titanic. luckily my fate was better than theirs.
then we got to croatia. we took a 4.5 hour buss ride to dubrovnik. when we got off we were assaulted by people trying to have us stay at their hotels. one guy even followed us in his car and got out in an intersection to try to entice us. lots of great 80's music. as my brother said its cool that once you cross the iron curtain its all 80's.
in bologna i got the coolest hat EVER. its turquoise and white and puffz and a bomber hat with a small brim. im excited for germany to be cold so i can rock it.

You spelled blog wrong I think. This is my new blog. I lost the password to the other one.
I don't understand this hat.
How often and in what context were you and the Italians using the word "uh-oh"?
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA, that is really funny that I thought you misspelled blog for bog.
hahahaha steph makes me laugh. but for real, why did you keep saying uh-oh? it makes me think everytime you tried talking to eachother and you realized there was another word you didn't understand you would all say "uh-oh"
